DESCRIPTION:\nJoin the University Sunrise Rotary Club for a program featu
 ring University of Washington Astronly Professor Emeritus Bruce Balick.\n\
 n\n\nThe&nbsp\;program will be presented in-person and on Zoom on Thursday
  morning informally beginning at 7 a.m. The formal meeting including the p
 rogram runs from 7:30-8:30 a.m. No registration is required\, and the prog
 ram is free.\n\n\n\nThe in-person meeting will be at the Wedgwood Communit
 y Church at 8201 30th Ave NE\, Seattle.  The meeting will also be availabl

 uce Balick\, Professor Emeritus\, Astronomy\, University of Washington\n\n
 \n\nBalick joined the UW Astronomy Department in 1975. Subsequently he ser
 ved as its chair\, became active in faculty governance\, and participate
 d in the design of new instrumentation for Hubble. Since his retirement 
 in 2014\, Balick continues to publish research papers using data from th
 e Hubble Space Telescope and to supervise astronomy undergraduates in r
 esearch and public outreach.\n\n\n\nHe&nbsp\;is a coauthor on a research p
 aper&nbsp\;based on one of the newly released images&nbsp\;from the James 
 Webb&nbsp\;telescope.\n\n\n\n\n
