 n fusion energy commercialization.&nbsp\; He was an owner and director at 
 CTFusion\, a Seattle based fusion power startup that spun out of the Unive
 rsity of Washington for five years where he did business development and r
 egulatory affairs.&nbsp\; He worked with investors\, power utilities\, the
  NRC\, and federal and state governments.&nbsp\; He founded Seattle Fusion
  Week with the CleanTech Alliance where he is a member of the board.&nbsp\
 ; Before fusion\, he worked in foreign policy and nuclear safeguards at th
 e Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.&nbsp\; He has practiced corporate
  law\, been a journalist covering the U.S. Congress and White House\, and 
 worked on three U.S. presidential campaigns (John Kerry 2004\, Barack Obam
 a 2008/12). &nbsp\;\n
