DESCRIPTION:\nJoin the University Sunrise Rotary Club for a program featu
 ring Laura Hartner of the Skagit Land Trust.\n\n\n\nThe&nbsp\;program will
  be presented on Zoom on Thursday morning with the Zoom line opening at 7 
 a.m.&nbsp\; The formal meeting including the program runs from 7:30-8:30 a
 .m.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;No registration is required\, and the program is free.\n\
 n\n\nThe meeting will be available via Zoom.&nbsp\; Click&nbsp\;here&nbsp\
 ;to join the meeting Thursday morning.&nbsp\; The Zoom line will open shor
 tly after 7 a.m.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Skagit Land Trust conserves wi
 ldlife habitat\, agricultural and forest lands\, scenic open spaces\, wetl
 ands\, and shorelines for the benefit of our community and as a legacy for
  future generations.  Skagit Land Trust has conserved 11\,943 acres across
  Skagit County including 568 acres of intertidal habitat\, 6\,992 acres of
  forest\, 1\,176​ acres of wetlands\, 993 acres of farmland\, 44 miles o
 f freshwater shoreline\, and 8.4 miles of saltwater shoreline.  The missio
 n of the Skagit Land Trust is conserving wildlife habitat\, agricultural a
 nd forest lands\, scenic open space\, wetlands\, and shorelines for the be
 nefit of our community and as a legacy for future generations.\n\n\n\nLaur
 a Hartner is the Development &amp\; Outreach Director for Skagit Land Trus
 t.  She oversees fundraising\, communications\, and community engagement f
 or Skagit Land Trust. Prior to joining the world of land conservation\, La
 ura served as the Events &amp\; Communications Director at the Anacortes C
 hamber of Commerce where she planned serval annual largescale festivals. H
 er work with Skagit Land Trust combines her love of the outdoors with her 
 experience in community outreach\, event planning\, journalism\, and non-p
 rofit fundraising. Laura’s previous work includes King 5 News and Northw
 est Public Radio.\n
