 ring City Attorney Candidate Erika Evans.\n\n\n\nThe&nbsp\;program will be
  presented on Zoom on Thursday morning with the Zoom line opening at 7 a.m
 .&nbsp\; The formal meeting including the program runs from 7:30-8:30 a.m.
 &nbsp\;&nbsp\;No registration is required\, and the program is free.\n\n\n

 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nErika Evans is running to be the next Seattle City
  Attorney.  A proud Pacific Northwest native\, Erika earned her undergradu
 ate degree from the University of Washington and her law degree from Seatt
 le University School of Law.\n\n\n\nErika previously served as an Assistan
 t United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington\, where sh
 e prosecuted high level fentanyl and firearm traffickers\, hate crimes\, v
 iolent offenses\, and crimes against children in federal court.\n\n\n\nBef
 ore her federal service\, Erika was a pro tem judge in several local munic
 ipal courts and worked in the Seattle City Attorney’s Office—as both a
  City Prosecutor and later as an Assistant City Attorney focused on comple
 x civil litigation. These roles gave her deep insight into both the crimin
 al and civil divisions of the office she now seeks to lead.\n\n\n\nErika i
 s a past president of the Loren Miller Bar Association (LMBA) and spent se
 ven years reviving and leading LMBA’s bar studies program to support div
 erse law graduates entering the legal profession. She also co-chaired the 
 Charles V. Johnson Youth and Law Forum and served on the Washington State 
 Public Engagement and Education Committee. In 2023\, she was named co-chai
 r of the Washington Leadership Institute\, which prepares diverse young at
 torneys for leadership roles across the state.\n\n\n\nErika’s work has b
 een recognized with numerous honors\, including the 2024 Puget Sound Busin
 ess Journal 40 Under 40 Award\, the Seattle University Black Law Students 
 Association Alumni of the Year Award\, the 2017 Loren Miller Bar Associati
 on Young Lawyers Award\, and the National Association of Women Judges Equa
 l Access to Justice Scholarship Award.\n
