Wilson\, M.A. is a Bo ard Certified Educational Therapist with over 25 years of experience worki ng with high school students and serving in school administration. She is also a certified principal for Washington State\, and has helped thousands of students experience academic success\, earn diplomas\, improve grade p oint averages\, enter the workforce\, and aspire towards greater personal goals over her career.\n\n\n\nIn 1999\, Ruth founded \;Brightmont Acad emy\, a fully-accredited private school for students in grades 6-12. Brigh tmont uses a one-to-one instruction approach\, allowing teachers to custom ize all aspects of the educational program. Ruth’s innovative school mod el was eagerly embraced by families and communities\, enabling her to scal e and replicate these schools. Brightmont Academy had grown from the origi nal Seattle campus to 11 campuses located in Arizona\, Michigan\, Minnesot a\, and Washington State by the time Ruth stepped down from an active oper ational role in 2018 in order to found Huma Education Services\, LLC.\n\n\ n\nHuma Education Services works with college students\, especially during their first year of attendance\, to help them experience success. Multipl e resources exist to help students gain admission to college or university \, but many flounder and stop attending before earning their degree. Huma Education Services fills that gap by building a support network for studen ts\, helping them to connect with the resources available on campus\, and assisting with any problems that might interfere with attendance and degre e completion.\n\n\n\nRuth has been featured in numerous publications\, tra ins parents and staff\, speaks publicly\, and is often quoted as an expert on issues of learning disabilities\, gifted education\, and mental health issues that impact teenagers. She has served on several boards\, includin g the \;Washington Branch of the International Dyslexia Association&nb sp\;and Robert Chinn Foundation\, and is actively involved in committees t hat promote diversity and awareness at the \;Women’s University Club . Ruth is currently the chair of the Teen Advisory Committee for \;Bel levue College.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe doors of the Women's University Club ope n to a community of women enriched by diverse and shared interests who sup port and encourage women of all backgrounds as they pursue their best live s.\n\n\n\nThe Club was founded in 1914 by strong\, enterprising women who wanted a place where smart\, motivated and dedicated women could come toge ther in mutual support\, united by a love of learning and a desire to make Seattle a better place for everyone.
