A former U.S. Attorney in Seattle\, he has taught Constitutional Law\, National Security Law and other courses at Seattle University Law Sc hool where he serves on the faculty as Professor from Practice. From 1997- 2001 he was national President of the Legal Services Corporation and held positions on the ABA Board ofGovernors and as President of the King County Bar Association. During 2013-2015\, he led the U.S. State Department rul e of law project in Ramallah\, Palestine where he advised prosecution\, po lice\, and security services and provided human rights training.
