 rated proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies has usher
 ed in a new era of innovation and productivity across various sectors. &nb
 sp\;However\, alongside these transformative advancements lies a growing c
 hallenge - the rapidly increasing energy demand stemming from AI data cent
 ers. &nbsp\;These facilities\, which power large language models and gener
 ative AI applications\, are becoming major consumers of electricity in the
  United States and are threatening to outpace the country’s current powe
 r infrastructure the necessary grid infrastructure\, and national and stat
 e policy capabilities.\n\n\n\nJohn Pierce focuses his practice on the stru
 cturing\, development\, and financing of energy and infrastructure project
 s and the sale and purchase of the same. He represents clients in connecti
 on with power generation projects utilizing an array of traditional\, rene
 wable\, and conventional energy sources\, as well as related infrastructur
 e such as terminals\, port facilities\, airports and other infrastructure.
  John also works with carbon mitigating credits\, offsets and trading stru
 ctures\, the creation and application of carbon trading protocols and mark
 ets\, carbon sequestration\, other environmental attributes and mandates\,
  and related market-based means to add value to certain energy projects.\n
