Join leaders, exchange ideas, and take action.
For more than 100 years, Rotary has been an organization of business and professional people united in the idea of service to others. With over 1.2 million members in more than 200 countries, Rotary is one of the world’s largest service organizations. Rotary primarily works through its 34,000 independent clubs. The University Sunrise Rotary Club, with a membership of about 50, has for more than 30 years served the north Seattle community and people around the world.
Join us every Thursday morning at 7:15 at Ivar’s Salmon House in Seattle. Exchange ideas as we listen to speakers, host visitors, travel, and trade thoughts at less formal events. Take action with us because together our efforts multiply to make a lasting change in the world, locally and globally.
If you’re looking to do more community service, expand your worldview, and find broader relationships, come join us at breakfast or any of our events.
For more than 30 years the University Sunrise Rotary Club has contributed to our local community through projects such as providing funding and collecting food for local food banks, supporting programs at Sand Point Transitional Housing, cleaning up parks and trails, providing dictionaries to third grade students in local elementary schools, supporting a variety of education and technology programs for young people, collecting thousands of holiday gifts for children in need, and much more. See our Community Service page.
Internationally our club has engaged in projects in Brazil, Russia, Ethiopia, Mexico, Thailand, Pakistan, central America, and other areas by providing emergency disaster aid, medical services and equipment for impoverished communities, aid to the destitute elderly, technology for schools in third world countries, support for international professional and student exchanges, and more.
