Andrea Suarez is the founder of WeHeartSeattle. She lives in Belltown and has lived in Washington for nearly thirty years after growing up in Oregon. She is a member of the University Sunrise Rotary Club.
Out of heartache and frustration with local leaders, she founded We Heart Seattle in 2021. We Heart started out as a volunteer organization that removed trash from parks and public spaces.
She quickly realized there was much more work to be done because too many people had fallen through the cracks of existing social services. We Heart helps people in need find housing and treatment. “I am proud of the lives we have saved,” she says.
