Join volunteers from the University Sunrise Rotary collecting much needed food and supplies for the University District Food Bank. The place is the QFC store in University Village and the dates are September 13 and October 25. Sign up for a shift of 1.5-2 hours between 10 am and 3 pm here. These drives are fun and inspiring to see how generous your fellow Seattleites can be!
With funding now restricted for the Food Stamp program, recent local employment layoffs and cutoffs to other government food programs, the need is greater than ever. The Food Bank is also experiencing gaps in the previous sources of support. We can help the Food Bank and our friends and neighbors who are in need.
