Join the University Sunrise Rotary Club for a program featuring District Governor Jeffrey Borek.

The program will be presented in person and on Zoom on Thursday morning.  The formal meeting including the program runs from 7:30-8:30 a.m.  No registration is required, and the program is free.

  • The in-person meeting will be at the North Seattle Church (2150 N 122nd St, Seattle). Doors open at 7:00 a.m. and the program begins at 7:30 a.m.

District Governor Jeffrey Borek has been with the IBM Corporation for over 25 years having worked wireless startup McCaw Cellular just prior.  He currently leads an open source software initiative and works to build a scalable and consistent artificial intelligence software supply chain security framework.  He also promotes the concepts of open source AI as an international speaker.

In 1987, Jeff was chosen by the Rotary Club of Seattle to be an England Group Study Exchange Team member.  Thirteen years later he joined the Rotary Club of Seattle.  He served as Seattle 4’s Foundation President in 2018-19 and was Club President in 2020-21. He was selected to join the line of Governors in the fall of 2022, which was announced locally by the first female President of Rotary International, Jennifer Jones.

Jeff lives on Mercer Island with his wife of 28 years Kellis.  Jeff and Kellis were both born in the Pacific NW and have a son, Jackson William Borek.  Kellis recently joined the Mercer Island Rotary Club.  Jeff holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the UW and an MBA from Seattle University.
